Deutsche Bank AG, sometimes referred to simply as Deutsche, is a German multinational investment bank and financial services company

Description

Contracted to create a mobile tool that will enable staff to book travel to meet with clients and to gain information around the etiquette needed for a country that they are visiting.

Business need

1. Current booking tools are slow and provide little to no information around the destination

2. Multiple tools are needed to book a single trip

3. Managers are not notified about business trips during the booking process, resulting in no sign off

4. The team members attending the trip and not made aware that they are liable for any damages caused to the Deutsche Bank reputation during their trip

Discovery

Having been given limited access to client facing members of staff due to data security I worked with a small group of colleagues that had recently moved to non client facing roles within the bank. Their time to work on this project was very limited as it was not part of the core work, so I had to plan every working session very carefully to get the most value from their time. I ran three sessions in total with the group:

1. Requirements gathering
   - Existing tools
   - Support
   - Data security
   - Known difficulties

2. Approach validation
   - Journey mapping
   - Requirements check

3. End product
   - Testing of prototype
   - Requirements gathering for future versions of the application
